  1. Application of Returns Policy

This Returns Policy (Policy) applies to all purchases from F & Co Pty Limited (F & Co), unless stated otherwise.

  1. The following items are Eligibility to Return Products
  • Products must be returned in their original, unopened, and undamaged packaging. Any product that has been opened, used, or tampered with in any way is not eligible for return.
  • Items which will be returned under this Policy must be returned within 30 days from the date of purchase. No returns will be accepted after this period.
  • A valid proof of purchase, such as a receipt or invoice, is required for all returns.
  • not eligible for return under any circumstances:
    1. Custom-built or special-order products;
    2. Clearance or sale items;
  • Items which are not in their original, saleable condition;
  1. Light bulbs, batteries, and any other consumable products;
  2. Cable which has been cut to size; and
  3. Any other item which F & Co deems ineligible for return by notification in writing upon purchase.
  1. Returns

All returns pursuant to this Policy will be subject to the following process:

  1. All returns must be authorised by our customer service team. All return requests must be sent to returns@fandco.com.au. Our customer service team will provide you with a unique Return Authorisation Number, which you will need to display upon the goods being returned.
  2. Once the item has been shipped back to F & Co, the Warehousing Team will inspect the good(s) to ensure the items are:
  1. Eligible for return; and
  2. In a saleable condition.
    • If the good(s) are deemed acceptable for return, you will be issued a credit note within 5 business days. If the product is found to be ineligible for return, it will be returned to the customer at their expense.
  1. Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs. F & Co will not cover the cost of return shipping or any related fees.
  2. A 20% restocking fee will be applied to all returns for change of mind. This fee will be deducted from the credit note amount.
  1. Refunds
  1. A refund will be issued, at the request of the customer, to the original payment method within 14 business days after the return is processed and approved.
  • Damaged or Defective Items
  1. If you receive a damaged product, you must notify our customer service team within 48 hours of receiving the item. Claims made after this period will not be accepted.
  • The Customer must notify any other alleged defect in the goods as soon as reasonably possible after any such defect becomes evident. Upon such notification the Customer must allow F & Co to inspect the goods. A Goods Returned Authority number (GRA) will be issued by F & Co upon notification of goods to be returned and shall accompany the goods along with all other relevant documentation.
    1. F & Co will cover the cost of return shipping or any related fees when the item is damaged or defective.
    2. Damaged and defective products are subject to the same inspection conditions as returns.
  • Exchanges
  • Exchanges are subject to the same conditions as returns.
  • All exchanges must be authorised and are subject to availability. If the requested item is not available, a credit note or refund may be issued instead.

Warranty Terms & Conditions

  1. Warranty Period
  • F & Co offers warranties consistent with its suppliers.
  • F & Co offers a 3-month replacement warranty, or as otherwise stated by the manufacturer on a product-by-product basis, on products that fail due to defective materials or workmanship.
  • The warranty period begins from the date of purchase.
  1. Warranty Terms and Conditions
  • All fittings must be installed by a licensed electrician, as required by law.
  • The product must only be used in accordance with F & Co specifications, guidelines, and Installation Instructions.
  • Limited Warranty
    • The warranty as described only applies to F & Co products. The warranty is only applicable to the party purchasing the products.
    • F & Co warrants that each product will be free from defects in material and workmanship.
    • If a replacement is required under warranty, the purchaser must provide:
  • proof of purchase (such as the original dated purchase receipt); and
  • proof of installation of the products by a licensed electrician.
  • Balance of Warranty
    • To the maximum extent permitted by law, any replaced products by F & Co are covered only by the balance of the warranty period remaining from the date of purchase of the original F & Co product.
  1. Limited Replacement Warranty
  • In addition to the limited warranty terms set out under section (4), the following will apply.
  • Where a consumer asserts that a product installed is faulty, and a F & Co service agent has attended the property, a service call fee will be charged to the consumer if:
    • The product is not a F & Co product;
    • there is nothing wrong with the product or to the extent that the failure is not a failure of the product to perform in accordance with its published features and specifications as reasonably determined by F & Co;
    • the original installation of the product was not carried out by a licensed electrician;
    • the installation is not performed in accordance with the relevant F & Co product installation instructions; and
    • the defects have been caused by incorrect application, abuse or misuse by the consumer.
  1. Cancellations, Returns, Damaged goods & Credit Claims
  • No cancellations or partial cancellation of an order, where the goods to be supplied are “special or project items” shall be accepted by F & Co unless it has first agreed in writing to such cancellation or partial cancellation.
  • All claims made against short deliveries must be made in writing within seven (7) days of delivery. No claims for short delivery will be recognised after this time.
  • The Customer must inspect the goods on delivery and within seven (7) days of delivery notify F & Co in writing of any evident damage, including photos of both the item and packaging or product failure to comply with the description or quote.
  • The Customer must notify any other alleged defect in the goods as soon as reasonably possible after any such defect becomes evident. Upon such notification the Customer must allow F & Co to inspect the goods.
    • A Goods Returned Authority number (GRA) will be issued by F & Co upon notification of goods to be returned and shall accompany the goods along with all other relevant documentation.
  1. Limitations and Conditions
  • This is a limited warranty and excludes, among other items, installation, incidental and consequential damages, other extended costs and is further defined by the limitation and conditions set out below.
  • Subject to Australian Consumer Law, the F & Co warranties provided in this document will not cover the following:
    • products that are not purchased from an authorised reseller and not installed in Australia;
    • products where installation was not carried out by a licensed electrician, as required;
    • products not installed in accordance with the product’s installation instructions or specifications;
  • products not used in accordance with the instructions for use or specifications;
  • defect, damage, or failure to a product resulting from misuse, accident, neglect, abuse, tampering, modifications or unauthorised repairs being carried out;
  • damages not caused by a fault in the product materials or workmanship;
  • defect, damage, or failure to a product resulting from any acts of God, including damages from lightning, power grid fluctuations, or power surges
  • replacement of light sources unless specified;
  • replacement of batteries supplied with certain products.
  • power supply “noise”, intermittent “humming” or other influences from mains power delivery infrastructure. Signals sent through the power grid by the electricity provider for the control of off-peak hot water, streetlights and other devices may cause an intermittent humming noise in your product. Filters for blocking/reducing such signals are available in Australia at the customer’s expense. These noises do not indicate the product is faulty;
  • damage caused by alternative power systems;
  • water damage of any kind caused by inappropriate placement of fittings not IP rated for that location;
  • the cost of renting, obtaining, and using special access equipment (i.e., scaffoldings, scissor lifts, etc.) for accessing products installed at a height of greater than 3 metres;
  • travelling costs incurred by F & Co personnel or service agents travelling greater than 25km from an authorised service agent;
  • non-structural corrosion damage of 316 Stainless Steel components such as surface rust, or tea staining;
  • corrosion or rust occurring on Aluminium, 304 grade stainless steel, Antique Brass and Graphite coloured fittings that have been installed within 5km of any saltwater environment;
  • tarnishing of Solid Brass and Copper fittings including Antique Brass and Graphite Colours when installed in outdoor environments and exposed to weather; and
  • corrosion to any product when installed onto surfaces which may cause damage to the fitting e.g. Sandstone or Bush Rock.
  1. Limitation of Liability
  • F & Co will not be liable in any way for any advice or assistance given in respect of products and their compatibility to any job/project.
  • All advice provided should be carefully evaluated to determine if it is appropriate for you before making any final decisions regarding the purchase of F & Co products.

  • Installation of Products
  • All hard-wired products sold by F & Co must be installed by a qualified Electrician.
  • F & Co cannot be held responsible for injuries or deaths incurred whilst installing any products purchased from F & Co.
  • Delivery
  • F & Co strives to dispatch and deliver orders as fast and efficiently as possible. F & Co, however, reserves the right not to compensate a customer due to dispatch delays or delays resulting from our freight carrier partners.
  • Some products or geographical locations have a minimum order value and/or a delivery charge and/or packaging and handling charge applicable. If and where applicable, these charges will be added to your invoice even if they do not show at the order total value. It is your responsibility to check the Website for these details and consider these costs to the total value of your order. By submitting your order to us you agree to pay these charges.
  • GST
  • All prices are Inclusive of GST at the current rate of 10%. The total cost of your order is the price of the products, plus if applicable, any delivery/packaging and handling charges, plus GST.
  • Refusal of Transaction
  • We may refuse to process a transaction for any reason or refuse services to anyone at any time at our sole discretion.
